2022-2023 Strategic Plan

The Indiana Chapter Board of Directors has created the following Strategic Plan for the Indiana NWTF.


Outreach

R3 – Recruitment, Retention, Reactivation
Goals
  • 1-year, INSB would have a meeting directly with the DNR/R3 Director to discuss DNR/R3 attending ISB Meetings.
  • 1-year, INSB would have a direct meeting with IHEA to discuss
  • 1-year, Direct communication with local chapters regrading
  • 1-year, pursue joint opportunities with programs such as BB/BS Conservation Buddies, Isaac
  • 3-year, 5% increase in Hunt Events
  • 5-year, 10% increase in Hunt Events

Local Chapter Outreach

Goals
  • 1-year, identify what chapters are currently conducting Outreach Events and reach out to chapters that have done events in the
  • 1-year, Encourage and Communicate to all Indiana Chapters to conduct an Outreach

Habitat

Goals
  • Average per year of Habitat restoration – 10,000 acres
  • Primary focus on habitat in focal areas but not limited to those areas
  • Annual Tracking of acres effected
  • Annual tracking of acres enhanced or conserved through the Habitat Seed
  • Increase in Matching Dollars & marketing of License Plates to create more income potential
  • Primary focus on acquisition in focal areas but not limited to those areas
  • Identify Public Lands closed to hunting and managers to open it to some form of hunting
  • Identify industrial or easement lands closed to hunting and work to open them
  • Work with other NGO’s to find and supply matching dollars for

Wild Turkey Research

Goals
  • ISB to continue to be open to provide funding for support of Wild Turkey research
  • Explore creating an upper Midwest turkey production

Fundraising 

Local Chapter Outreach
Goals
  • 1-year, maintain contact with local chapters that have not conducted a banquet with-in the last 2 Assist Grant with the decision to either retain or dissolve.
  • 1-year, Issue a quarterly message to all local chapter’s information regarding happenings within the state and at the state board
  • 1-year, continue to educate and assist our local chapters to become self-sufficient in all aspects of a fundraising
  • 3-year, all chapters shall be self-sufficient in check-in/check-out of fundraising
  • 5-year, all chapters shall be self-sufficient in emceeing of fundraising

Marketing

Goals
  • 1-year, Implementation of Indiana NWTF
  • 1-year, Interactive Map indicating location and contact information of local
  • 3-year, increase content from local chapters and
  • 3-year, increase social media presence and
  • 1-year, promote programs and initiatives related to the 50th anniversary of the

Development

Goals
  • 1-year, Create and Provide an incentive for $10K Donor Marketing Committee will handle Gun for incentive by October 1, 2022.
  • 3-year, ISB shall conduct a Upper Level Giving
  • 1-year, create incentive for Donors to bump donation level to Silver Life, Diamond Life or Patron
  • 6% Growth in net dollars from local banquets, the state board will create an award/incentive for chapters achieving at least 6% growth from the previous 3 years in net dollars
